I was struck by the juxtaposition of the articles on your front page July 1.

On the one hand, we have two dedicated local individuals working for 11 years to provide a better environment for salmon reproduction — individuals who received no monetary rewards and years of frustration to accomplish an amazing improvement of one waterway in Kitsap County (“Start of estuary project celebrated”).

On the other hand, we have a large out-of-state corporation working to create an overblown (unsellable?) development which will destroy habitat, increase traffic volume, pollute one waterway in Kitsap County and which will reward the corporation with huge monetary rewards (“Poulsbo  council approves Rose project”).

Which one would you support?
