After reading “Stokes livid over ‘fluff’ in port’s proposed budget,” (Oct. 9) and then reading your Oct. 13 update (“Port backs off soccer field — for now”), I think Larry Stokes should be given one heck of a big thank you.
I agree with his stand one the current budget issues concerning the Port or Bremerton.
The port has already stolen our money to build a marina that I am still not sure how it benefited the “whole” community, and now they want floating bathrooms (can I, without a slip, use them anytime I want?) and a soccer field at an industrial park?
How about maybe lowering the cost for a business to build in the park, or tax breaks?
Maybe then they would want to be in your “nice little park,” Mr. Bozeman and Commissioner Mahan.
As for me, I stand with Larry Stokes.
