From the bottom of our hearts, the Kathleen Sutton Fund Board of Directors would like to thank everyone who made this year’s auction a success. It’s more than enlightening to know that our community is so supportive of this great cause, and you should be proud that you are part of this success. Our annual auction is our primary fundraiser and, with your help, we raised more than $69,000.

The Kathleen Sutton Fund assists women from Kitsap, Jefferson, Clallam and Mason counties with transportation costs for cancer treatment. The board is 100 percent volunteer based, and with the support of our auction sponsors, 100 percent of the money raised at the auction goes directly to the women we help.

2017-18 will mark changes for the board. Founder Vivi-Ann Parnell is stepping down as president, but will remain on the board and will continue the passion she started. Cheryl Callais will be filling her role as president. Cheryl started as a volunteer with Kathleen Sutton Fund many years ago and joined the board in 2013. Together, with the rest of the board, they will ensure the Kathleen Sutton Fund continues to grow and prosper.

What more can you do? Become a volunteer. KSF is looking for additional board members or year-round volunteers to help with everything from stuffing envelopes to posting on social media. More than anything, you can be a KSF advocate and help ensure everyone knows about the Kathleen Sutton Fund. Whether it’s to help someone in need, to donate or become a sponsor, we are here.

Lastly, please let our sponsors and local business donors know how much they are appreciated for supporting the Kathleen Sutton Fund. They are asked by many organizations to donate and we are fortunate that they have chosen to donate to us.
