Bremerton Raceway and the Handlers’ Racing Association will host the 20th Annual Nostalgia Drags and Car Show on Aug. 23-24.
Gates will open at 8 a.m. with seven drag brackets: Inline/Flatheads (no electronics), Hot Rod II (1959 and older/12.00 and slower), Street Machine II (1960-1980/12.00 and slower), Hot Rod I (1959 and older/7.00-11.99), Street Machine I (1960-1980/7.00-11.99), Top Gas (electronics with crosstalk), and dragster and roadster. All brackets are subject to change.
Pro Nostalgia Association will be qualifying at noon and 3 p.m. Also joining in the excitement is the Northwest Nostalgia Tour qualifying, Northwest Super Comp Association Race No. 1 and Northwest Heads Up Meet No. 8.
The car show will feature nostalgia vehicles. Registration begins at 8 a.m. Awards presentation will be after 1:30 p.m. There will be trophies for Best of Show, People’s Choice, Best Cruiser, Best Race Car, Best Truck, Best Rust Bucket and Best Muscle Car.
Admission to the car show is free with paid gate admission.
On Aug. 24, is the second day of Nostalgia Racing with time trails from 9 a.m. to noon, with eliminations in the afternoon.
Tech cards for car and driver per day are $45 for Nostalgia, $40 for Northwest Nostalgia Tour and $55 for Northwest Heads Up. The event is limited to 1989 and older vehicles.
Pro Nostalgia will be running at noon, 2 and 4 p.m. Northwest Nostalgia Tour Meet No. 4, Northwest Super Comp Association Race No. 2 and Northwest Heads Up Meet No. 9 will add.
Gate admission is $17 per person, senior citizens (65 and older) and active duty military is $15, children 12 and under are free when accompanied by an adult.
On Aug. 22, gates will open at 3 p.m. for the Street Legal Test and Tune. Racing will begin at 4 pm. and Tech cards are $27 for car and driver. All occupants in the race vehicle must have on long pants, shoes, socks and t-shirt length sleeves. They must also have a valid driver’s license and anyone under the age of 18 must have a parental waiver.
Gate admission is $12 for adults, $10 for active duty military and children under 12 are free when accompanied by an adult.
