Ed Hume, popular television and radio gardening host will be the featured speaker at the April 15 meeting of the Kingston Garden Club. Hume is celebrating his 42nd year as a gardening personality, and his book, Northwest Gardening Made Easy, is a welcome resource for avid gardeners. Humes will talk about vegetable gardens in the Northwest.
Hume is most proud of his induction into the Garden Writers Association Hall of Fame. His radio program, “Ask the Expert,” can be heard on KOMO 1000 AM on Saturday mornings from 10:00 a.m. until noon. Hume will remain after the presentation to sign copies of his book.
The Kingston Garden Club meets on Wednesday, April 15, at Redeemer United Methodist Church located on the corner of Parcell and Shorty Campbell Roads. There is a social time at 9:00 a.m. with Ed Humes presentation beginning at 9:30. Visitors are welcome to join us at our meetings. A small donation is requested.
