They say the only thing constant is change. But for many, clutter seems to come in at a continuous second. Everyone battles their own hodgepodge of accumulated stuff at one time or another, but not everyone wins.
Afterall, few have a Mary Poppins who can make toys autonomously march back onto shelves and straighten beds with a mere snap of a finger.
For those without the time, patience or knowhow to put functionality into their space, and for those hoping to match a little fashion with that function, there happens to be a service in Poulsbo more promising than a singing nanny.
Enter Charisma Design and Organization, a company owned by Erina Weible that does just what its name says. After pulling part-time duty for eight years, Weible began offering her services full-time nearly a year ago. Studied in the art of interior design at Seattle Pacific University and L.A.’s Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, she’s now become a one-woman home makeover force.
She offers three distinct services, each of which can have transformative affects on a home with even the smallest of budgets.
Charisma Design and Organization offers:
• residential and small office interior design;
• residential and small office organization; and
• real estate staging for empty and occupied homes.
Talking about each of the three, Weible’s enthusiasm is clear as she works to provide “beauty and balance” to her clients’ space.
“I am very passionate that the space that you are in can become space that you enjoy to be in,” she said. “People deserve it, that’s something that everyone can have.”
And she’s there to help them attain it.
“I can organize anything from a garage to a drawer,” Weible said, adding her scope spans all sorts of rooms, from scrap booking havens and home offices to kitchens, toy rooms, school rooms or an entire home. For those building a new home or moving into an empty one, starting from scratch isn’t too tall an order. And when it comes to lived-in homes in need of change, Weible said a trip to the store isn’t always necessary.
“I can go into a home for two hours and work with what you have and make it look completely different,” she said. “I don’t just look at it from an organizational perspective, but I also look at it from a design perspective.”
Weible said she partners with homeowners to make decisions and understand just what their definition of beauty is. She draws inspiration from them to make their home a dynamic one, she said.
Weible also finds an element of fun in lending a hand when it comes to selling a home. She works with sellers and their real estate agents to make a place “compelling to the buyer.” She even has advice to offer when it comes to moving, and making packing and unpacking less dreary than they often can be.
Weible also puts her skills to use dabbling in personal assistance.
No matter what type of project — big or small, commerical or residential — Weible said there’s one thing that doesn’t need to be done before she arrives: cleaning.
She said she’s ready to get down to work bringing beauty and balance to a home — tidy or untidy is no matter.
And that in itself is supercalifragilistic … well, you get the idea.
