POULSBO — Mary Jo Malone died in Bothell after fighting a courageous battle with Alzheimers and cancer. She was 89 years old.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Nov. 11 in Kitsap County.

Mary Jo was born in Bellingham to Nico Radovich and Katherine McMurray. Her loving brother was John Radovich.

Graduating in 1950 from the UW, Mary Jo and Philip were married until his death 54 happy years later. They raised their family in Bellevue and later moved to Kitsap County, where Mary Jo and Phil grew his law practice in Poulsbo. After Phil passed, Mary Jo moved to Bothell to be closer to family.

She is remembered for her devotion and love of family, friends and the arts.

She is survived by her children, Daniel Malone and Katherine Owen; niece, Suzanne Strandberg; granddaughter, Addison Malone; grandson, Joseph Malone; great-granddaughter, Amelia Wright; and her precious dog, Mitzie. .
