Kitsap Arts and Crafts has awarded its 2009 Art Scholarships to Sierra Moon, Kingston High School, and Madeline Trower, West Sound Academy. Moon will be studying art at Northwest Academy of Art, Poulsbo, and Trower will be attending the Rhode Island Institute of Design in Providence, R.I. Both artists exhibited their work in our Student Art Show during their High School years. Their scholarships will be presented at the Arts and Crafts Preview Party on July 23 at the Kingston Community Center as part of the kickoff of the 50th anniversary celebration of the Kitsap Arts and Crafts Festival, July 24-26, in Kingston.
