Kingston Country Christmas
December 12 marks the start of holiday activities in Kingston. Visitors can begin the day with the Kingston Holiday Home Tour, which runs 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The $15 ticket gives access to some of Kingston’s loveliest homes. Houses and condominiums will be decked out in holiday décor. Tickets are available at the Kingston Chamber of Commerce Office, 11201 State Route 104 or at Little City Catering at 26117 Ohio Avenue.
The Kingston Chamber is also hosting a Giving Tree. The tree is decorated with ornaments, each with a gift request for someone in need. Visitors can pick up an ornament, purchase a present and return it by Dec. 14. Gifts will be distributed through local food banks.
Port Gamble’s Country Christmas events run Saturday and Sunday. This year’s fruitcake competition will be judged by authors Susan Wiggs, Carol Cassella, Mary Guterson, Sheila Roberts and Suzanne Selfors.
Poulsbo Heritage House and the Giving Tree
Father Christmas will convey the magic of Christmas when he takes his post on Front Street through Dec. 24 for Historic Downtown Poulsbo’s Havne Vei. Stop by and drop off a letter at Santa’s mailbox. Visitors also can help the less fortunate by dropping off a non-perishable food item for Fishline or a new gift for the Giving Tree. The Giving Tree benefits local children in need.
