Old Town to showcase artists

This quarter’s Old Town Silverdale Art Walk is March 13 with an artists’ reception from 6 to 8 p.m. The event is free to the public.

This quarter’s Old Town Silverdale Art Walk is March 13 with an artists’ reception from 6 to 8 p.m. The event is free to the public.

The following eight venues will host 10 juried artists:

• Silverdale Port Authority — Terry Nokell

• Monica’s Waterfront Bakery & Café — Germaine Austin and Bonnie Rae Mills

• Lisa Stirrett Glass Art Studio — Suhyoon Cho

• Olympic Veterinary Hospital — Ken Vining

• Linda’s Knit n’ Stitch — Timothy Johnsrude

• Bayshore Spa — Tiffany Williams

• The Backdoor Gallery (Two Bits Barbershop) — Caitlin Matthews

• Jeanette’s Old Town Flowers — Margie Stanley and Gerry Langland

• Old Town Custom Framing & Gallery

Six Old Town Silverdale businesses will offer promotions during the artists’ reception:

• Lisa Stirret Glass Art Studio — wine served by Grape Expectations

• Jeanette’s Old Town Flowers — free roses

• A Company of Friends — 30 percent off a Beanpod candle

• Kitsap Arts — drawing for one month of free classes

• McGregor & Co. — drawing for a $50 gift certificate

• TeeDee Company — drawing for a $35 gift certificate

Monica’s Waterfront Bakery & Café will offer a free taste of its house wine or free cookie in exchange for donations to the local food bank and homeless outreach. The business also will offer free coffee.
