Join us for one of Kingston’s highlight events—Pie in the Park—celebrating its 15th year, Aug. 10 in Village Green Park.
There’s something for everyone at this much-loved community gathering with free children’s activities, free pie tasting and pie to take home for almost any budget.
Want dinner before pie? Savory food will be available for purchase, too. Attendees can buy raffle tickets for a chance to win a pie, spring for a golden ticket in hopes of getting first choice from among the auction pies or bid against others for pies crafted by our community’s professional and amateur bakers.
The fun begins at 4:30 p.m. with children’s activities. Free pie slices are served at 5:15 p.m., and the auction/raffle kicks off at 6 p.m.
Proceeds benefit the Village Green Foundation’s efforts to make the most of the place that connects and strengthens community—Village Green.
Previous projects have included acoustical improvements to the gym/multipurpose room, room-darkening shades, a new and lightweight stage, and more. The foundation is working to bring additional shade to the park near the playground and will partner with the Village Green Metropolitan Park District on improved security features in and around the building.
