BREMERTON — The stage version of  “Steel Magnolias,” the funniest movie ever to make you cry, continues through Nov. 18 at Bremerton Community Theatre, 599 Lebo Blvd., Bremerton.

For ticket information, call (800) 863-1706 or (360) 373-5152.

BCT’s production is directed by Greg Williams.

The action is set in Truvy’s beauty salon in small-town Chinquapin, La., where all the ladies who are “anybody” come to have their hair done. The play is alternately hilarious and touching—and, in the end, deeply revealing of the strength and purposefulness which underlies the antic banter of its characters.

The cast: Palmer Scheutzow, Truvy; Deborah Rice, Ousier; Barbara Miller, Clairee; Genevieve Emmett, Annelle; Syndi Whitener, Shelby; and Becky McKee, M’lynn.
