BAINBRIDGE ISLAND — Robin Lynn Weiss (nee Moline) of Bainbridge Island passed away at Swedish Medical Center on Sept. 8, 2017.
She was 69.
She was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on June 11, 1948, to Elaine and Martin Moline. Her family moved in 1955 to Bainbridge Island, where Robin continued to reside most of her life.
Robin was a graduate of Bainbridge High School. At the young age of 15, she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, which increasingly impacted the quality of her life. Robin adored dancing while she was able, earning a professional certificate in Hawaiian dance, and was an accomplished writer. She worked in banking for a period of time when her illness was in remission, with her last employment at Seattle Employees Credit Union in Seattle.
Robin will be remembered as a loving and intelligent woman who treasured family and maintained a strong belief in God and faith in the power of prayer. Her gifts of compassionate listening, a kind and gentle spirit, and nonjudgmental acceptance of others touched the lives of many. Robin’s presence in this world will be long remembered and deeply cherished.
Robin is survived by her husband, Richard Weiss; son, Glenn Goodrich; and grandson, Jonas. A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Oct. 15 at Bethany Lutheran Church on Bainbridge Island.
