Stars Above Kitsap

Sweep up the old dead leaves, rake them into a pile and burn, baby, burn!

A Scorpio new moon provided a solar eclipse on Oct. 23, highlighting Scorpio’s strength in releasing what we must get rid of so we can become richer in character and depth. Get rid of the clutter.

Remember, new moons bring sun and moon together in a monthly conference where we set new intentions. The moon’s quiet, feeling power overtook sun’s dynamic action during the eclipse. This leads us to our hearts, and not our heads.

Where do you need to let go of old hurts, unfulfilled dreams, outdated expectations or habits that lock you in, and life out?

A new moon says “sit,”  and a solar eclipse says “feel.” On top of that, Scorpio says “get very real.” Even fleet-footed, fast-thinking Mercury is retrograde until October 26, siting quietly, untangling mis-perceptions. We all have Scorpio somewhere in our charts, so release and make room for good seeds to set roots. Prepare now for spring.

Horoscopes

For the Oct. 24 new moon to the Nov. 6 full moon.

Scorpio, you’ve been working on a serious rebirth for two years. This eclipse is a reset button to get you back on track. Fine-tune the releasing as Saturn, the realist, moves you out into the light in December. Put your adult pants on and tell us what you really want. You, of all signs, can’t live without truth.

Spirituality comes to you, Pisces, from direct experience rather than doctrine. Sit, maybe in a group, and experience the cosmos through contemplation. Are you working on how to shift to the work of your sweetheart? Friends behind the scenes help you figure it out.

Sagittarius, you need lots of rest and lots of motion. Mental energy is amping up your nervous system and your body needs to move — not an exercise program — more like shake your booty and dance to the music! And, take a time-out to fuel your new cycle coming soon. Dreams may be speaking to you about resolving old problems.

Capricorns are in a long process of transforming. But take a break and expand your circle by exploring new groups that can help with long-term visions. Your ruling planet, Saturn — the task master — isn’t getting much interference right now so hunkering down to the routine can accomplish much.

Aries, you’re moving to a new vibration! Y’all keep putting it together in new ways. Find socially acceptable channels and like-minded colleagues who appreciate your new dance. It’s a ton of energy. Only you can harness it for your personal use.

Meanwhile, Taurus, those pesky “other people” in your life are mirrors. Some of what you see, you like. Some of it — well, that’s where these long evenings come in handy. Keep your head in the game even though others have the lead right now. Venus, your ruling planet, is using all her charms on the situation. Help her and keep smiling!

You, Gemini, don’t always get the credit you deserve. Let your natural curiosity awaken new  inspirational, physical-care habits. Lop off routines of diet exercise and work details that are no longer relevant! Update the daily grind — no, not coffee, silly!

Cancers love it when mother moon, their ruling planet, takes the stage. Creativity, recreation, romance and kids are the flavor of your month. Halloween may be a full-blown, Martha Stewart kind of thing. Whatever you do, put your individual stamp on it. And, oh, don’t over-mother the kids.

Leadership, Aquarius, can be a pain with other people’s projections and petty opinions pointing your way. Never mind them. Speak up anyway. We need your leadership — after all it is the dawning of your age. You’re still in training.

Beauty is a necessity, Libra, but sometimes enough is enough. This eclipse highlights money, honey. Financial advisers can help you figure out security plans and how to fulfill emotional needs…like owning that fabulous designer purse in the window! Align money and values for true self-esteem.

Virgo, launch an audit of your daily routines which is ridiculously full. You may have to adjust on the run. Word to the wise: reasons for changes may be best kept to yourself. The last details of your new financial plans will come together after October 26.

Last, but not least, Leo, time off stage is productive as you shift from star to director. In spite of ancestral history, remember where you want to go. Build firm foundations for yourself and set new boundaries with family even as you work to improve relationships — you have Thanksgiving and Christmas to get through — every year! Okay, so you are on stage, even at home. Smile, it’s show time!
