Get ready for Port Gamble Summer Faire Aug. 11

We are pleased to announce that the second annual family-fun event set to take place on Saturday Aug. 11, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Port Gamble Summer Faire boasts a fun-filled afternoon of activities, shopping, farmer’s market, live music by the Port Gamble Maritime Music Festival now in its 13th year. We even have some interesting animals coming out including raptors from the West Sound Wildlife Shelter, and pets from the local shelter Rescue Every Dog. Find all of the details at portgamble.com.

Raptor rhapsody

Visit with West Sound Wildlife Shelter’s resident raptors — barred owls, a great-horned owl, a red-tail hawk, an American kestrel, a peregrine falcon, and a turkey vulture. All of these wildlife ambassadors are well known for inspiring and engaging adults and children alike! Don’t miss this opportunity to learn about common raptors of the Pacific Northwest and their habitats in the beautiful setting of Port Gamble. Scapino opens at the Port Gamble Theater in July

The Port Gamble Theater Co. is proud to present Scapino July 13-29. See Frank Dunlop and Jim Dale’s adaptation of Moliere’s comic tale of Scapino, the deceitful valet who contrives to bring his master’s children and their respective loves together through all kinds of trickery — despite his master’s differing plans. Show times are Friday and Dinner Theater Saturdays at 7 p.m. and Sunday matinees are at 2 p.m. with an additional Saturday matinee at 2 p.m. on July 2. Tails are wagging for the muddy paw dog agility trials

In Port Gamble, we love our furry family members and are very excited about the North American Dog Agility Council-sanctioned agility trial hosted by MudPack July 13-15. Spectators are welcome for a weekend of obstacle courses and furry friends at the Port Gamble baseball field area. The baseball field is located on the west side of Port Gamble just as you head out of town towards the Hood Canal Bridge.

Psychic development classes and live gallery reading materializes July 21 at the Port Gamble Masonic Lodge

Join international psychic medium William Becker of Paranormal Insights and psychic medium Pete Orbea of Port Gamble Paranormal for a day of psychic exploration and live psychic gallery reading at the historic Port Gamble Masonic Lodge, built in 1871.

The day starts with a “finding your psychic voice” class for novice and beginners which covers grounding/centering, shielding/filtering, locating/communicating and work with paranormal entities. The advanced/elementals class takes place in the afternoon and into the early evening and covers working with entities, akashic record (seat of knowledge), locating/communicating with elementals, and psychic exploration of the historic and haunted town of Port Gamble, including the famed Walker-Ames House, built 1889.

The live psychic gallery reading is open to the public and runs from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. for $20 in the Port Gamble Masonic Lodge. Audience members will have a chance to connect with loved ones through psychic readings performed by William Becker and Pete Orbea. Please note that everyone in the audience is not guaranteed a psychic reading. The whole day is capped off with a special paranormal investigation with Pete and William along with members of The Permanents: A Paranormal Case Study documentary film.
