Here are some upcoming events in Port Gamble this month.

Cruise Port Gamble continues its weekly meet-ups every Thursday evening throughout July. Car buffs show off their classic, new or unique cars on the lawns beside Mike’s Four Star BBQ and Gamble Bay Coffee. This weekly event is free and open to everyone.

Soul Siren takes the stage July 11 for the second Alive After 5 concert of the season. Dance, sing-along or simply enjoy the music and a picnic. The free concert plays from 5-8 p.m. on the observation deck below the American flag.

Want some tail-wagging fun? Then check out the Muddy Paw Dog Agility Trials July 12-15 at the Port Gamble baseball fields. The North American Dog Agility Council and the  Australian Shepherd Club of America will hold sanctioned agility trials. Spectators are welcome!

On July 27, an airshow will fill the skies above Port Gamble when the Olympic Radio Control Association presents its Radio Control Model Airplane Air Show and Fundraiser. There will be demonstrations of aerobatic planes, scale model planes and models built by association members at home, as well as a raffle of beginner model planes for those wanting to get started. Sponsorships available for Port Gamble’s Country Christmas celebration
Port Gamble’s annual Country Christmas, one of North Kitsap’s most popular holiday celebrations, is seeking corporate and individual sponsors for the weekend’s popular holiday activities.

Country Christmas attracts several thousand people to Port Gamble for the weekend and our fireworks show is always the most popular event. It attracts families and individuals from across Western Washington and our sponsors love the exposure and recognition they receive throughout the weekend.

Nearly 3,000 people from Kitsap and other surrounding counties will attend and participate in Country Christmas activities this year. The celebration takes place Dec. 14-15.

Country Christmas is free and designed to be family friendly. Activities include children’s Christmas crafts, horse-drawn carriage rides and photos with Santa. The fireworks show, which immediately follows the tree-lighting ceremony with Santa, is the highlight of the weekend.

In past years, well-known Kitsap companies such as Ferrellgas, Pope Resources and Olympic Property Group have helped sponsor Port Gamble’s Country Christmas. For sponsorship information, contact Julie McAfee at the Port Gamble events office, (360) 297-8074, or via email at portgamble@orminc.com.
