On the heels of a show that underlined the power of the female figure, Bremerton’s Admiral Theatre will showcase the power of women’s minds on its mainstage this coming week.
Last week, the Admiral stage played host to a sensuous international sensation — the Bellydance Superstars. At 7 p.m. March 18 it will feature the ghost of Susan B. Anthony as part of the theatre’s Living Voices, first-person series.
While the infotainment series has featured great minds of men in the past year, like Mark Twain and Teddy Roosevelt, this installment will showcase a program focused on the women’s suffrage movement through the story of Susan B. Anthony 101 years after her death.
Then at 7 p.m. March 20, Jude Narita will bring her one-woman show “From the Heart,” to the stage, exploring the lives experiences and expectations of Asian and Asian American women with courage, honesty and celebration.
Tickets for each are $18. Info: www.admiraltheatre.org or call (360) 373-6743.
