Authors Jennie Shortridge, Jennifer Murphy and Bonnie ZoBell visit Poulsbo for an evening of literary discussion on July 25, 6:30 p.m. at The Loft on the waterfront, 18779 Front St., Poulsbo.
Shortridge is a member of the Seattle7 writers organization, and is the author of “Love, Water, Memory.” Her novel is about a woman found on a San Francisco shoreline, unaware of who she is. The woman soon is reunited with her life, though her memory is gone. She navigates who she is supposed to be, but finds it difficult to re-enter a life she now views as shallow and insecure.
Murphy, also from Seattle, is the author of the recently-released murder mystery novel “I Love You More,” told from the perspective of a young girl, forced to handle some very grown-up truths. “I Love You More” is the debut novel from the Northwest author.
ZoBell has a new collection of short stories and novellas, “What Happened Here.” The author will be making a trip from San Diego to discuss her new work at The Loft. She is the creative writing coordinator at San Diego’s Mesa College. ZoBell has also written an ebook, “The Whack-Job Girls.”
The three-author event has been coordinated by Poulsbo’s own Liberty Bay Books, an independent shop on downtown’s Front Street.
