FOURTH OF JULY

BAINBRIDGE FUN RUN: Bainbridge Youth Services is sponsoring the 2009 Fun Run on July 4. This 30-year tradition kicks off a day of celebrating the “Grand Ol’ Fourth” on Bainbridge Island. The Fun Run provides running events for adults and children, starting with a 5K run and a 1-mile run at 9 a.m. Children’s dashes start at 10:15. PORT ORCHARD CONCERTS ON THE BAY: Port Orchard Concerts on the Bay begin at 6:30 p.m. June 26 in downtown Port Orchard. Business owners, the Port Orchard Chamber, the Port Orchard Marina, the City of Port Orchard and chairing group FathomsO’ Fun, took over the series and have expanded it from six to 10 concerts this summer. The first two concerts will feature the The Mojo Blues Band. Christian Contemporary artists will perform a daytime concert on July 4, while Usual Suspects will play at 8:30 p.m. that evening (featuring Usual Suspects).
