‘MAKING MYTH A REALITY:’ The Bainbridge Island Kids Discover Museum will celebrate reopening in it’s temporary location at 150 Madrona Lane on Bainbridge with a new exhibit inspired by Greek deities and mythic creatures. PLANETARIUM SHOW: “Galaxies in the ‘Hood: The Local Group,” hosted by the Battle Point Astronomical Association, will be at 7 p.m. Oct. 10 at the Helix House at Battle Point Park, Bainbridge. Our Milky Way galaxy belongs to the “Local Group,” a set of about 30 galaxies held together by their mutual gravitational attraction. Smaller “satellite galaxies” cluster around the two most massive galaxies: our own, and the Andromeda Galaxy. TEA AND VINTAGE FASHION SHOW: The West Sound Wildlife Shelter is hosting an afternoon tea and vintage fashion show.
