Three shows on Saturday anchor Kitsap’s docket of rock as The Enemies throw down for the cause and The Ready Aim Fire! comes up from L.A., July 19.

THE READY AIM FIRE! w/ …Is Electric, The Army Corps of Architects and Madrid at 7 p.m. July 19 at Jackson Hall in Silverdale. All Ages, $8, presented by Big Mouth Music.

Bands with exclamation points in their name are always subject to a little extra scrutiny.

What exactly is it that the punctuation mark is exclaiming? Is it indicative of these cats’ highly exclamatory music, or is it just a front? Could they still rock even without the extra punctuation?

In the case of Ready Aim Fire!, the exclamation point seems to serve more as a note about the gusto of band founder Dave Trautz than any kind of descriptor for the music. Or maybe it’s because it just looks cool.

The indie, electro-pop five-piece all formed around a project on Trautz’s laptop in the suburbs of Los Angeles. After posting his bedroom-born songs on MySpace, Trautz recruited band members for live show purposes. The resulting band went on to record a debut album titled “strong enough,” which was released last month, and for which they’re now touring in support.

It should be noted that the Ready Aim Fire! left its hometown, in fact its entire home state of California, to kick off the eight-day tour in Phoenix, Ariz.

I don’t know what that says about how they’re received at home, but the kids in Kitsap will probably eat it up.

THE ENEMIES OF… benefit for autism w/ the Swinos, the F’n A’s and S.G.F.Y. at 9 p.m. July 19 at Winterland, 1220 Sylvan Way in Bremerton. 21+, $5 cover for the cause.

Somehow it’s always just a little more rockin’ when bands are kickin’ it out for a cause.

Thus will undoubtedly the case as Olalla-based band The Enemies Of… takes the stage with a few old friends at Winterland this weekend, hosting a benefit for the Autism Speaks campaign.

On July 19, the Tacoma branch of Autism Speaks will host Walk Now for Autism, a relay-for-life-style event which raised nearly $50,000 for Autism Speaks last year, at Cheney Stadium.

The Enemies, with strong ties to both that event and the cause, wanted to do something more than just walk this year.

“Instead of just doing a pledge thing and getting a couple hundred bucks, let’s throw a show and donate all the money from the door,” Enemies bassist Steve Bystrom said.

So as night falls July 19, walkers will cross the Tacoma Narrows Bridge, coming to Bremerton to Rock for Autism with the Enemies, the F’n A’s, the Swinos and S.G.F.Y.

The $5 at the door goes to Autism Speaks, while giving you admittance to one hell of a punk rock show.

NICOLE DEVILLE and HER MANHANDS w/ Tres Hombres at 9 p.m. July 19 at the Manette Saloon, 2113 E. 11th St. in Bremerton. 21+, $5 cover.

Though there’s nothing auxiliary about this show, no big names coming in from out of town, no gimmicks or charade, the Manette Saloon is offering a chance to see two generations of Kitsap rock on the same stage, in one evening. Tres Hombres, featuring the local legend Tom Pike, and Nicole Deville and her Manhands, featuring Pike’s songbird of a daughter Nicole, will hold court at their old stomping grounds, kicking out everything from ZZ Top covers to original country western and bluegrass. Kitsap style.
