IN BREMERTON
Renowned Kitsap wood fire potter Ken Lundemo is back with an exhibit of new work at Collective Visions this month.
It’s called Heads or Tales. Literally a series of ceramic heads in dream states, the show invites the viewer to interpret, or at least ponder, the meaning of dreams.
Following up on an exhibit last year in which he portrayed emotion in the face of his patented ceramic bears, Lundemo’s dreamers are bound to be evocative. What’s more is the process with which he creates them.
Lundemo will be on hand to talk about such things from 5-8 p.m. tonight for First Friday at the CVG, 331 Pacific Ave. in Bremerton.
Also check out the Amy Burnett Gallery across the street, the Artists for Freedom and Unity gallery, plus a brand new record shop on Callow.
ON BAINBRIDGE
While postponing the usual Firat Friday party until May 8 to make room for the Art Bailout Sale, Bainbridge Arts and Crafts will feature nationally honored public sculptor Garth Edwards and natural colorist Diane Culhane along with a few shows from local school kids at 151 Winslow Way on Bainbridge.
Also check out the Roby King Galleries down the street, The Island Gallery on the corner, A is for Artists on Bjune, the lobby at BPA and more.
