PORT ORCHARD — George and Wanda Wilcoxon will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Friday, Aug. 3.

The couple was married at the Church of Reflections, Knotts Berry Farm, Buena Park, California on Aug. 3, 1968.

They met while George was stationed in the Navy in Kodiak, Alaska, while Wanda lived in Bell Gardens, California.

The Wilcoxons have four children: Duane, Randy, Gary Costner and David Wilcoxon, and seven grandchildren.

George retired from federal service after 52 years.
