HOMETOWN: Kingston.

BRANCH: U.S. Navy.

YEARS OF SERVICE: 1940-46.

HIGHEST RANK ATTAINED: Gunner’s Mate second class.

SIGNIFICANT DUTY STATIONS OR DEPLOYMENTS DURING THE WAR: USS Nashville (CL-43), USS Adams (DM-27).

POST-WAR CAREER: Worked as a mechanic for the Navy and then Pan-Am, then worked independently as an automatic transmission mechanic.

AWARDS: Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with four stars, American Area Campaign Medal, American Defense Service Medal with Bronze ”A,”  World War II Victory Medal, Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, Philippine Liberation ribbon with two stars.
