Taken from an incident report by a Kitsap County Sheriff’s Deputy:

Kitsap County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a 29-year-old Poulsbo man for stealing several hundred dollars worth of video games from the South Kitsap Walmart store.

The man had stolen the games in the same way, for several days in a row.

He parked a gray Lexus 300 by the store’s garden entrance, walked into the store’s main entrance, went straight to the electronics section and took the games. Then he walked straight out the door, setting off an alarm as he left.

A Walmart loss prevention officer noticed him doing this on June 30, and tried to stop him. But he ignored her, walked to his car and left.

A sheriff’s deputy followed up on the issue, by calling the man’s house.

His father answered the phone, and the deputy questioned him.

The suspect’s father yelled at the deputy who questioned him, saying that he wasn’t sure that he was actually a deputy.

But the deputy advised the man to call 911, if he’d like to verify his identity.

At that point, the man’s father became “completely uncooperative” according to the deputy.

He did, however, tell the deputy that his son would be home soon.

The deputies arrived at the home and arrested the son for third degree theft, which carried a bail of $5,000. He also had a warrant for his arrest, which added $10,000 to his bail.
