10:22 a.m.

Police responded to a report that $395 had been stolen from a Port Orchard woman in a forgery withdrawing money from her checking account at Kitsap Bank.

10:32 a.m.

After a commissioner announced a decision at the Kitsap County Courthouse, someone allegedly yelled: “You’re going to get yours.”

Police don’t know who the threat was directed at.

12:48 p.m.

A man told police he delivered firewood to a woman who lived at a Port Orchard apartment complex, and they agreed she would pay him later.

When she failed to do so, he started taking the wood away.

She came out and tried to drive him away with a broom he said.

He also said she scratched him in the face, and police observed a small bit of blood on his cheek.

Tuesday

12:07 a.m.

Police noticed graffiti at Adventure Travel, a sign on Bay street, a former smoke shop and two billboards on the corner of Bay Street and Harrison.

11:34 a.m.

A black wallet with a Washington driver’s license registered to Mattie Nieto was returned to police.

The wallet was found at the Albertson’s on Sedgwick Road. It appears to have been run over by a car.

Wednesday

2:09 a.m.

A Port Orchard police officer on patrol noticed a thick, three-foot-long tree branch sticking out of the side of a black, 1997 Dodge Avenger near the intersection of Lund and Bethel Avenue.

The officer approached the driver of the vehicle, and he appeared to not know about the branch.

When told about it, he said: “Are you kidding me?”

8:32 p.m.

Police responded to a dispute between a 41-year-old woman and her 62-year-old aunt. The older woman told police the younger woman, a recovering addict, lived with her and wasn’t following her rules.

Police said that she didn’t have to since she’s an adult.

The older woman said she’d kick her out then.

Police said she couldn’t do that without an official eviction.
