A look at local roadway projects that may slow drivers down

Here's a look at Central Kitsap Public Works projects going on in the area that may slow commuters down.

Ridgetop Boulevard (between Marigold and Tahoe)

Crews are working all week (weather permitting) adjusting catch basins. Flaggers will assist motorists through the work area. Expect delays of up to 10 minutes in the immediate vicinity of the work.

Silverdale Way (between Myhre Road and Ridgetop Boulevard)

Work is done at night, between 9:00 p.m. and  6:00 a.m. Short delays of up to five minutes are expected in the immediate vicinity of the work. Traffic control is planned, and minimal delays are expected. Work on this project continues through mid-February 2014. For more information about this project contact Silverdale Water District online at www.swd16.org/ or call 360.447.3500.

Ridgetop Boulevard (at SR 303)

Work on the project is suspended until signal poles and equipment are delivered. The contractor continues work on roadway items as weather conditions allow. This includes completing the new street light system which allows for use of the new right turn drop lane, and completion of water quality components. The project is suspended pending delivery of traffic signal components in late February or early March.

All paint markings, including the crosswalk across Ridgetop Boulevard, will be completed after the signal is operational. Until that work is completed pedestrians should use marked crossings at other intersection locations.

Crews are working on general maintenance activities with no delays expected for motorists. See General Maintenance below for a description of these maintenance activities.
