CK Family Night scheduled for Tuesday, April 7.
The fourth annual Central Kitsap Family Night will offer more than just bingo and booths this year.
CK Family Night will be held from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 7 inside the President’s Hall at Kitsap County Fairgrounds in Bremerton. It is free to the public.
Darci McGuire, of the Silverdale Chamber of Commerce, said this year’s CK Family Night will have plenty for children and families to do.
McGuire said lots of people will once again set up information booths at CK Family Night offering important tips and ideas on how families can spend more time together and stay safe.
“There’s over 36 organizations coming to do information booths,” she said.
McGuire said everyone who attends CK Family Night will receive McDonald’s coupons and decks of cards. Once inside, people can play Guitar Hero compliments of Best Buy, bounce around in a large bounce house, paint, play bingo and take part in a wide variety of activities.
“It’s free for everybody to participate,” McGuire said. “It’s free and you can come in and just enjoy yourself.”
Various groups will perform live at CK Family Night as well.
McGuire said children of all ages will find something fun to do at CK Family Night and parents will learn a thing or two as well.
“It’s all centered on families and the development that happens with families,” she said.
McGuire said she expects about 500 people to attend CK Family Night. She’s been visiting schools, preschools and daycares for months promoting the event.
“I started promoting it back in January,” she said.
McGuire said CK Family Night is not only about families, but the community. She said she hopes the community pulls together and turns out in large numbers for the free event.
“Right now, with the economy and everything, the community is what holds us together,” she said.
CK Family Night is supported by the Silverdale Chamber, Costco, Central Kitsap Reporter, Kitsap County Board of Commissioners, Family Night Initiative, Central Kitsap Community Council, Kitsap Humane Society, Kitsap County Parks & Events Center, American Family Insurance, Peninsula McDonald’s and Chips Casino.
