This year seems to have flown by. It’s already Christmas and in a few short days, it will be time to ring in the New Year.
If you want to get off the couch, take the kids out for the night or you’re looking for an exciting evening full of Champagne toasts, here is a list of the happenings in Port Orchard on New Years Eve:
Hi-Joy Bowl, 1011 Bethel Ave.
Hi-Joy Bowl is hosting its annual New Years Eve Rocking Bowl event. The event is open to all ages but fills up fast. Call to make a reservation at 360-876-8111.
For $25 ahead or $30 at the door, the event features open bowling, lights and fog, a buffet and a DJ. Party favors are served at midnight. Bowling starts at 10 p.m.
Port Orchard’s Lighthouse Restaurant, 429 Bay St.
New Year’s Eve Seafood Buffet
Seating at 5 p.m., 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. Adults $35.95, children 12 and younger $15.95, seniors 55 and older $25.95.
The New Year’s Eve Seafood Buffet will feature a seafood station featuring broiled lobster tail, baked Alaskan king salmon, Penn Cove mussels, as well as clams, shrimp, crab and oysters.
For those not in a seafood mood, a carving station will feature smoked prime rib, smoked ham and breast of chicken.

Blue Goose Tavern, 1604 Bay St.
Blue Goose Tavern will feature live music performed by the Jäegernauts.
In past years, Blue Goose has hosted a shuffleboard contest where winners received prizes from a whole ham to bacon and eggs. A treat to enter the new year with a full stomach and lots of memories.
MoonDogs, Too, 714 Bay St.
MoonDogs, Too will have a Champagne toast at midnight.
DJ Z will perform throughout the night. MoonDogs will supply hors d’oeuvres and party favors.
There is a $5 cover.
End Zone Sports Pub, 1023 Bethel Ave.
End Zone Sports Pub will have a DJ playing top 40 hits from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m.
They will also have a complimentary champagne toast at midnight to cheers another year.
Hi-Tide Bar and Grill, 1371 Bay St.
Hi-Tide will have a live band, Lana’s Garage, going on at 8 p.m. to perform through the night.
They will have party favors, decorations, champagne and everything one would need to enter 2016 in style.
Then, on New Years Day, take part in the annual Polar Bear Jump off the bridge near Al’s Grocery in Olalla, put on by Olalla Community Club. The jump is scheduled for noon, but many jumpers take the leap earlier.
Start 2016 off with a splash.
