PORT ORCHARD — Kitsap County Volunteer Services has listed a number of positions open for applications on county agency boards, committees and councils.
Members are appointed by county commissioners to serve as sounding boards and conduits between citizens, communities, county staff and commissioners. Members also may review grant applications, transportation and development plans or host informational events with other public agencies.
In South Kitsap, applications are being accepted for the following:
Board of Equalization — South and Central Kitsap representatives
Bremerton Kitsap Access Television Citizens Advisory Board — North, Central and South Kitsap representatives
Commission on Children and Youth — At-Large, Faith-Based, Tribal, youth from Bremerton, Bainbridge, North and South Kitsap school districts
Council for Human Rights — North, Central and South Kitsap representatives
Developmental Disabilities Advisory Board — At-Large representatives
Fair Board — Admissions, Entertainment, Parking and Security directors
Ferry Advisory Committees — Southworth and Bremerton representatives
Suquamish Citizens Advisory Committee — At-Large representatives
Veterans Advisory Board — At-Large representatives
