Port Orchard artist Mary J. McInnis will have the first of three solo art exhibits at the Sidney Gallery in June.

In the first of three solo exhibits in June, the Sidney Museum and Gallery will feature paintings by McInnis, who is a noted pastel artist. McInnis is the juror for the Helen Norris Open Art Show at the art gallery this month. The gallery will host a reception for McInnis during Port Orchard’s monthly First Friday Art Walk. The reception will be on June 3 from 5-8 p.m. at the gallery, 202 Sidney Ave.

A regular exhibitor at Sidney Gallery, McInnis has spent a lifetime pursuing her artistic vision in pastels and oils, both in the studio and en plein air.

This is the first of three solo shows featuring McInnis’ work this summer on the West Sound side. In July, Bremerton’s Toro Lounge will display her large forest paintings in oil. In August, her small plein air paintings will be featured at the Kimball Espresso and Gallery in Gig Harbor.

Also that month, McInnis’ work will be included in a plein air invitational show at Bainbridge Arts and Crafts on Bainbridge Island.
