Northwest artists — including several from the Port Orchard area — have their garden-themed artwork on display at the Sidney Gallery as a precurser to the second annual Historic Home and Garden Tour (with an art twist) July 25.
The artwork display includes framed pieces from Port Orchard-area artists Sherry Beck, Olga ”Toni” Nelson and Elissa Whittleton.
Beck has a piece for sale titled “Roses Galore.” Nelson’s “Rhodies” and “Floral #1” neatly fit into the gallery’s garden theme. Whittleton’s ”Daisy Path” and ”Meadow Daisies” also are bright, eye-catching art pieces.
Mary Peterson, the museum’s chairwoman and historian, said the Sidney Gallery is a stop-off point for area residents looking to purchase seasonal presents.
Individual tickets can be purchased in advance at the art gallery/museum, 202 Sidney Ave., for $25.
Ticket packages also can be bought for couples and families.
The self-guided tour show also will include demonstrations by local artists and tours of historic homes and stately gardens.
