2 die in crash

Two people are dead following a single-vehicle collision in the 5000 block of SE Burley Olalla road between Shady Glen and Fagerud Road in South Kitsap Nov. 9.

Kitsap County sheriff’s deputies responded around 8:30 p.m. and discovered the vehicle engulfed in flames. After extinguishing the fire, two occupants were located deceased in the vehicle. A dog in the car was also killed, per KCSO. Evidence indicated the vehicle failed to negotiate a curve to the left. The vehicle left the roadway, striking numerous trees, and burst into flames.

Another child, 9, was also in the vehicle and was transported to the hospital for precautionary evaluation, but did not sustain serious injuries, per KCSO.
