POULSBO — Westsound Bank, located on the corner of State Route 305 and Viking Way in Poulsbo, was robbed Tuesday afternoon.
Poulsbo officials, along with several other area law enforcement agencies, are continuing to search for the suspected bank robber in North Kitsap. According to Kitsap County Sheriff’s spokesman Deputy Scott Wilson, the bank was robbed just before 1:20 p.m. The suspect is believed to be unarmed.
According to Wilson, the suspect is a white male, approximately 55-65 years old. The man walked into the bank and said he has kids and needs money but does not have money. He asked a teller to put money in a bag for him. He did not display a weapon. The man was wearing a cowboy hat and a New England Patriots jacket; unconfirmed reports say he is driving a dark red truck with a black stripe.
