Chris Stansbery will teach a beginner knitting class on March 16, at the Sidney Art Gallery and Museum, 202 Sidney Ave.

Stansbery will teach the basics of knitting including casting on and binding off, the purl stitch, knit stitch, stockinet stitch and the garter stitch. There is no cost for the class.

Interested persons are asked to bring a pair of knitting needles any size between #5 and #8.
