Belfair man on the run after allegedly assaulting ex-girlfriend

BREMERTON — Bremerton Police are searching for a 29-year-old Belfair man in connection with a domestic violence assault at the 2500 block of Fir Avenue late last night. Police say Richard R. Robson broke into his 24-year-old ex-girlfriend’s apartment and then assaulted her when she came home from work.

BREMERTON — Bremerton Police are searching for a 29-year-old Belfair man in connection with a domestic violence assault at the 2500 block of Fir Avenue late last night.

Police say Richard R. Robson broke into his 24-year-old ex-girlfriend’s apartment and then violently assaulted her when she came home from work.

She was eventually able to scream to alert a neighbor wherein Robson fled the scene, police said.

The 24-year-old woman had a valid order of protection of out Kitsap County against Robson prior the assault and had only lived in the apartment a few days. She told police she doesn’t know how Robson found her.

A certificate of probable cause has been completed for felony assault domestic violence, violation of protection order with assault, and residential burglary. Bail is set in the amount of $250,000. Bremerton Police is seeking the public’s assistance in locating and arresting Robson. Anyone with information should call (360) 473-5220.
