Grab a friend and enjoy breakfast or lunch at The Coffee Oasis. Not only will you satisfy your belly and enjoy locally roasted coffee, you’ll also be helping youth aged 13 to 25.
The goal of Coffee Oasis is to offer youth the encouragement and resources they need. The centers offer a range of services from meals, showers, laundry, clothing, job training, a crisis text line, walk-in crisis services, mobile crisis services, substance use services, a youth shelter and supportive housing. For the period of January through July 2024, 2,113 youth used the drop-in centers, 1,925 bed nights were provided and 270 youth attended classes.
The Coffee Oasis started in 1997 with the goal of offering hope and opportunity to thousands of young people. The original center was opened in Bremerton, with more centers opening in Poulsbo, Kingston, Port Orchard and Tacoma. The Poulsbo Lions Raab Foundation Bellringer Fund has contributed to these programs since 2016.
The Coffee Oasis offers many resources, services activities and programs. If you would like to volunteer go to https://thecoffeeoasis.com
The Bellringer Fund so far has raised $2,810 in contributions and hopes to raise $25,000 to support the agencies that support everyone from at-risk children to veterans to the unhoused.
