Ben Pocuis recently received his degree of chiropractic from Life Chiropractic College West in Hayward, Calif.

The degree represents four academic years of professional study including an extensive clinic internship. A graduate of Bremerton High School, Pocuis is the son of Dr. Leo and Mary Pocuis of Bremerton. He and his wife Erin and daughter Piper live in Bremerton. He will be opening his practice, Bayside Chiropractic, in Silverdale.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Habitat for Humanity of Kitsap County is planning a major blitz build to completely frame the final three homes at New Hope, its 18-unit neighborhood in West Bremerton from Monday, Aug. 18 through Saturday, Aug. 23. The blitz schedule is from 8 a.m to 5 p.m. daily.

Habitat needs at least 50 volunteers per day to help get as many families as possible moved into their new homes by Christmas. Groups and individual volunteers are needed to fill half or full-day shifts on all six days.
