SILVERDALE – Blazing Onion, a fast-casual gourmet burger joint, will open at The Trails shopping center on Monday, Dec. 21.
“This is our first location in Kitsap County and we are so excited to be opening at the new Trails at Silverdale,” said David Jones, CEO of Blazing Onion, in a press statement. “For the first time ever, we will feature a top end whiskey bar, with a library of books to learn anything you desire about whiskey, bourbon and scotch.”
The restaurant features 20 gourmet burgers, from meatloaf to wild boar. Each one-third pound burger is made using fresh, all natural hormone and antibiotic free, 100-percent ground chuck beef from Painted Hills. The patty is topped with signature seasonings and served on a locally-baked bun along with “endless” french fries. Chicken breast, wild game, scratch-made turkey patties, meatloaf and vegetarian patties are also available.
Blazing Onion’s Whiskey Bar is filled with HD TV’s. A large patio will also be available for summer lounging. The Whiskey Bar will feature more than 200 whiskey, bourbon, and scotches priced $6 to $100.
Blazing Onion was created by husband-and-wife team David and Lorri Jones. The restaurant combines counter ordering with full table service where guests place their order at the counter and then relax at a table while their entrée is being grilled.
The restaurant will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on the weekends. The Whiskey Bar will stay open an extra hour. Blazing Onion is located at 11199 Pacific Crest Place SW, suite D-119, in Silverdale.
Blazing Onion has six other locations in Washington, including Alderwood Mall in Lynnwood, Marysville Gateway Plaza, Mill Creek Town Center, Snohomish Station, Uptown Gig Harbor and Tacoma Mall. This is the first Blazing Onion franchise. It is being opened by the Jones’ close friend of 18 years, Matt Hollek, along with Matt’s son Russell and business partner Yury Morgachev.
Other businesses that are currently open at The Trails at Silverdale are AT&T, Home Goods, and Ulta Beauty. Set to open in January 2016 is Chipotle, MOD Pizza, and Silverdale Smiles Modern Dentistry and Orthodontics. Coming this spring is Corner Bakery, DSW, Sleep Number, Total Wine, and Verizon.
