A body found in South Kitsap Feb. 5 was identified as a missing Bremerton man, 22-year-old Timothy James Huson.

The Kitsap County Coroner’s Office completed the autopsy this week. A cause of death has not yet been determined, Kitsap County Coroner Greg Sandstrom said.

A passerby found the body about 50 meters from the road off May Ranch Lane Southwest in Port Orchard at 1:30 p.m., said Deputy Scott Wilson, spokesman for the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office. Huson was last seen about two miles away Jan. 27 or 28, leaving a house party in the 11400 block of Alpine Drive Southwest. He was reportedly intoxicated.

Huson’s stepfather and brother filed a missing person report Feb. 2 when they realized no one knew his whereabouts. The Bremerton man was known to disappear for days at a time.

A search and rescue effort began Wednesday night and continued all day Thursday. A Sunday search was canceled after the body was found Saturday.
