SILVERDALE – An 86-year-old Bremerton man was injured after the car he was driving hydroplaned as he drove north on State Route 3 Oct. 10.
According to a Washington State Patrol report, the man was driving a silver 2006 Scion car at a speed too fast for conditions about two miles north of Silverdale near the intersection of Trigger Avenue.
The car hydroplaned and went off the right side of the road and struck a tree around 10:45 a.m. He was wearing a seat belt at the time.
The man was transported to Harrison Medical Center for treatment.
He was cited for driving too fast.
