BREMERTON — From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 25, the Daniel W. Judd Agency-Farmers Insurance Group will host a Suits for Sailors and Soldiers Day at its offices, 3850 Kitsap Way, Suite 104, Bremerton.

This is an employment event for military personnel and veterans transitioning into the civilian workforce and will include donated suits and professional work attire, free and discounted haircuts, practice with mock interviews, and resume reviews. Local veterans employment representative will be on site, as well as military and veteran education representatives. A free insurance review and comparison will also be available.

“Farmers Insurance was founded by two World War I veterans, so we have been involved in the Suits for Soldiers program for some time,” Daniel Judd said. “This year, when all of the area Farmers offices collected suits, we decided that, rather than just donate them to a local charity, we would host a Sailors and Soldiers Day event ourselves. We’re teaming up with other organizations in the area. WorkSource will be there and the technical college will be providing the haircuts.”
