A bomb threat note was discovered in the boys bathroom of Bremerton
High School just prior to school starting this morning.
The building was evacuated to be safe. Washington State Patrol cleared the building and students returned to their third period classes where they were held until the final sweep was completed. The bomb squad used bomb-sniffing dogs throughout the building.
High school staff and students cooperated with the authorities while the
building search was completed, according to the Bremerton School District (BSD). Staff do not believe it was a credible threat, but said safety is their top priority.
The school was cleared at 9:38 a.m. and classes resumed as normal. Staff
and students did an outstanding job following their emergency
procedures, according to BSD.
