Bremerton High School named as a 2013 Washington Achievement Award winner

Bremerton High School has been named as one of the 2013 Washington Achievement Award winners in the category of "high progress."

Bremerton High School has been named as one of the 413 schools in the state to be awarded the 2013 Washington Achievement Award winners in the category of “High Progress.”

The Washington Achievement Awards celebrate the state’s top performing schools using the Achievement Index, criteria set in the Elementary and Secondary Education Act.  The Achievement Index is a snapshot of a school’s performance based on statewide assessments.

The award categories include:

 

  • Overall Excellence
  • High Progress
  • Reading Growth
  • Math Growth
  • Extended Graduation Rate (awarded to high and comprehensive schools only)
  • English Language Acquisition

Bremerton High School will be honored at an award ceremony on April 24 at Timberline High School in Lacey.
