POULSBO — David W. Pope, 44, a transient known to have resided in Bremerton, is charged with first-degree trafficking in stolen property.
A residential burglary was reported March 6 on Gunderson Road in Poulsbo, where various items worth $800 were stolen.
A Poulsbo police officer was tipped off on March 30 that Pope had committed the burglary and was storing the stolen items at a residence on Lincoln Road in Poulsbo.
During a search of the residence, “a significant quantity of these stolen items were recovered,” according to the report.
The person who owned the Lincoln Road residence said Pope had stayed with him for a few months and said he knew the items “were probably hot,” according to the report.
Pope was booked into county jail for trafficking, failure to appear and possession of methamphetamine, on $55,100 bail.
