Sheriff’s deputies responded to a harassment call at 3:45 p.m. July 13 in the 1900 block of NE Green Glen Lane in East Bremerton. A woman said she obtained an anti-harassment order against her neighbor and he recently harassed her.

The 26-year-old woman said the 40-year-old man began harassing her last summer when he told her son to never go near his dog. The man continued to harass her for letting her dog run loose. He told her she would see a “blood bath” if her dog was loose again. The man’s dog also was aggressive toward the woman and her family.

The woman’s dog got loose June 18 and when the babysitter and one of her children went to get the dog, the man followed them back to their house carrying a weed wacker and yelling at them.

Another day, the man intentionally walked his dog near the woman, her dog and her child, letting his dog lunge at them. He again said something about a “blood bath” and shooting her dog.

Deputies went to the man’s house July 13 to talk to him. He was outside and his speech was slurred as if he was intoxicated, according to a deputy’s report. The man then began walking toward the deputy and said, “Bring it on bro!” He continued to yell, saying, “Come on tough guy” and “Come and get me (expletive deleted)!” He then went back to his house, got his dog and said, “Get ‘em!” The dog aggressively charged the deputies, forcing one of them to spray it in the eyes with pepper spray to stop it.

Deputies then had to pepper spray the man, who was now walking toward the deputies with his chest out ready to fight.

Deputies handcuffed the man and escorted him to jail. While en route, he apologized for his actions. His mood then changed and he told the deputy to take the handcuffs off so he could “kick my (expletive deleted).” The man said he “never forgets” and continued threatening the deputy.

The man was arrested and booked into jail for third-degree assault. His bail is set at $25,000.
