A 41-year-old Bremerton man sang obscenities to the tune of the “Batman” theme in a patrol car and kicked a corrections officer at the Kitsap County jail after his arrest for residential burglary Thursday.

When apprehended by police at Naval Avenue and Sixth Street at about 8 p.m. for entering the house of a family he did not know on Hewitt Avenue, the man told police he was drinking on the streets and cursed at officers, according to Bremerton police reports. While police transported the man for booking at the Kitsap County jail on suspicion of residential burglary, the man continued to curse at the police and sang obscene lyrics to the “Batman” TV show tune. He banged his head on the partition in the patrol car until he split his forehead, and upon arrival at the jail he kicked the leg of a corrections officer. He failed booking, was placed in a padded room and was charged with third-degree assault for attacking an officer.

Earlier that evening, the man approached a woman at her apartment in the 600 block of Hewitt Avenue and asked her to watch porn with him. He was kicked out by her husband and entered the apartment next door with a “fighting” stance before being shoved out of that residence. None of the apartment residents knew the man.
