POULSBO — A 30-year-old Bremerton man was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 305 near Lemolo Shore early Sept. 9 after his 1990 Toyota SUV crossed the center line and struck a 2013 Ford F250 pickup driven by a 59-year-old Tacoma man.
Rodrigo I. Rivera died in the collision, which happened just south of Poulsbo at about 2 a.m., according to the Washington State Patrol.
The Tacoma driver was charged with driving under the influence after the crash, the WSP reported later.
The State Patrol said Rivera was just north of Baywatch Court NE when his Toyota 4Runner left the northbound lane and hit the Ford pickup, which was headed south on the highway.
The Tacoma driver was hurt in the crash, and was taken to Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton for treatment.
Police said both vehicles were totaled in the crash, which blocked Highway 305 for nearly six hours.
The highway reopened just before 8 a.m.
