A 27-year-old Bremerton man was reportedly tied to a baby gate in his house and “pistol-whipped” by two masked men Oct. 27 who broke in and ransacked his house.
Bremerton police were called to the house in the 3100 block of Preble Street just after 8 p.m. and found the 27-year-old man across the street with a cut and swollen bump above his right eye and blood all over his face and hands, according to reports. He told police he was sleeping on his couch when he was awakened by two men standing over him, one pointing a handgun to his head, repeatedly asking, “Where’s the stuff?” He said he was then tied to a baby gate with his head covered by a blanket while the suspects searched his house for about an hour, repeatedly striking his head with a gun.
Police found two marijuana plants at the house — one on the front steps of the house and another lying on the kitchen floor.
The man’s 27-year-old roommate later told police the two plants were his and he was growing them for someone else.
No suspect information was found.
