Bremerton police have released a sketch of a suspect associated with a June 1 attempted robbery at the ATM outside of the Kitsap Bank located at 1140 Marine Drive.
According to police, the man in the sketch sprayed a woman in the face with pepper spray or mace while she was making a deposit at about 2:30 p.m. June 1 and attempted to rob her. The woman first noticed the man coming toward her from the NE corner of the bank. She was able to deposit the bag and the suspect then ran off.
The suspect was last seen running north on Bertha Avenue. The woman described him as a Hispanic male, approximately 30-40 years of age. She said he was about 5’3″ with a heavy build and wearing a zip-up hoody. A subsequent K-9 track of the suspect was unsuccessful.
